Pneumatic Die Grinders

High-speed, low-speed, angle, extended-reach and silenced · 18 models

Pneumatic die grinders — also called mold grinders or pencil grinders — are the workhorse of die and mould finishing. This line covers rear-exhaust and front-exhaust bodies, 90° and 120° angle heads, extended-reach shafts for deep cavities, and silenced models for noise-sensitive cells. Every tool runs on standard shop air and accepts common carbide burrs and mounted points.

How to choose

  • Exhaust direction — rear-exhaust keeps chips away from the work face; front-exhaust is preferred where the operator's hand sits behind the tool.
  • Head angle — straight bodies for general stock removal, 90° / 120° angle heads for cavity floors and undercuts.
  • Reach — extended-length shafts reach deep ribs and narrow slots that a standard body cannot enter.
  • Noise — silenced (rear-muffler) bodies cut operator exposure on long finishing shifts; pair with hearing protection either way.
  • Collet size — match the burr shank you already stock (1/4 in and 6 mm are the two common standards).

Typical applications

  • Die and mould finishing
